Chapter 39: I’m always available to teach you.
Unable to bear the stupid conversation between the two, Fu Songzhi gave a positive answer, "Hua Ting has a horse farm, raising two Belgian hot-blooded horses. They were both Pei Yu's racehorses. Have you never seen them?"
This statement made the relationship clear. Shen Zhiyi shook his head and said carefully, "I haven't looked around carefully."
She was busy with work, and when she returned to Huating she was just to sleep. Moreover, to Huating, she was just a passer-by.
Qin Fang didn't hear the hidden meaning in her words. When he heard that she didn't know about this, he became excited. "If you want to learn to ride a horse, you can learn it in Hua Ting. You can also let Pei Ge'er teach you. He is very good at horse riding."
He looked around and took out a photo frame. "Here, this was taken when Pei Ge received the award."
Pei Yu in the photo was much younger than he is now, and was obviously just a teenager. He was wearing a pure black equestrian suit, and was stroking the tall chestnut horse beside him with his hand. He looked at the camera with no expression on his face. Compared with now, his hostility was more obvious.
"Here's another one."
Qin Fang introduced her, "We took the photo together. Pei Ge was so arrogant at that time that he had to beg and coax her to take a photo."
Still with that delicate and handsome face, Pei Yu stood in the middle, with the two boys beside him smilingly putting their arms around his shoulders. He raised his chin slightly, looked at the camera nonchalantly, and held a bouquet of roses reluctantly in his arms.
It was the first time that Shen Zhiyi saw Pei Yu’s youth, and he looked inexplicably familiar.
"So if you want to learn horse riding, just let Pei Ge'er teach you," Qin Fang said, then felt that Pei Yu's personality was definitely not suitable for being a coach, so he touched his chin and changed his words, "Actually, I can teach you, I'm not bad either--"
His arm was bumped, and Fu Songzhi changed the subject directly, "Does Pei Yu know you are here?"
"I don't know," Shen Zhiyi said, "I didn't tell him."
Fu Songzhi gave a meaningful smile after hearing this.
Not always.
Perhaps influenced by his father, Pei Yu has a strong desire for control in his personality. If Fu Songzhi guessed correctly, Pei Yu should know Shen Zhiyi's whereabouts very well.
After chatting with the two of them for a while, Qin Fang was the one who talked most of the time. Although Fu Songzhi didn't talk much, he was obviously the one with deeper thoughts than Qin Fang. Shen Zhiyi keenly realized that this meeting actually showed their attitude towards him. To exaggerate, it was also an active show of goodwill.
She didn't stay for too long. She had originally planned to learn more at the club, but Qin Fang kept urging her to go back to Huating to study. She couldn't stay any longer in front of these two people, so she had to go back to Huating first.
But she didn't want to tell Pei Yu that she wanted to learn horse riding, and just wanted to come back another day.
Because of this little episode, Shen Zhiyi arrived at Hua Ting much earlier than expected. The housekeeper was surprised to see her come back so early, "You finished work very early today."
She took the coat and casually mentioned, "Sir is at the horse farm, do you want to go over?"
We were just talking about this not long ago, and now we have the opportunity to go to the racecourse. What a coincidence!
The housekeeper brought a plate of fruit over to give her an excuse to go to the stables. "Just help me deliver some fruit to my master."
The horse farm was built on the easternmost side of the manor, with separate stables and feed yards. From a distance, one could catch a glimpse of a figure sitting high on a horse. Unlike his youth when he was young and thin, his body wrapped in an equestrian suit was tall and strong. The slightest movement revealed his smoothly-lined muscles, broad shoulders and long legs, full of the sexual tension of an adult.
Pei Yu tilted his head to look over, slightly clamped his legs around the horse's belly, and drove the horse slowly closer. He was tall to begin with, and sitting on a horse, he had to raise his head to look at him when he got closer. When Shen Zhiyi saw the horse approaching, he wanted to hide, and quietly stepped back a few steps in what he thought was a covert move.
"What are you hiding from?"
Still discovered.
Pei Yu dismounted and stroked the horse's mane, "Are you scared?"
It would be a lie to say that he was not afraid. Shen Zhiyi said implicitly, "A little bit."
Don't be afraid if you don't get close to her.
Pei Yu raised his eyebrows and said slowly, "You are not afraid of the club's horses, but my horses?" "Huh?"
Shen Zhiyi blinked, "You knew I went to the club, did your friend tell you?"
Without denying it, Pei Yu reached out to her, "Come here, I'll teach you."
Shen Zhiyi stood there without moving. She had just embarrassed herself in the equestrian club and really didn't want to embarrass herself in front of him again. "I can learn from the coach at the club..."
His horse must be more expensive than those in the club. Shen Zhiyi was afraid that both he and the horse would get hurt.
Pei Yu still stretched out his hand towards her, his fingertips slightly hooked, "I'm not as good as those coaches?"
There is no comparison.
Shen Zhiyi stepped forward reluctantly and made another excuse, "I'm holding some fruit, it's inconvenient."
As soon as she finished speaking, she felt a tightness around her waist. Pei Yu actually held her waist and easily put her on the horse. He was very steady, and not even a single fruit in the fruit plate fell. Before Shen Zhiyi could react, she was already off the ground. Her body was tense and she dared not move.
Pei Yu laughed, "Are you so scared?"
He held the reins, one hand still on her waist, "I won't let you fall."
Shen Zhiyi sat on the horse and saw him about to lower his head. The novel experience slightly dispelled the tension in his heart, but he still didn't dare to move, and even his voice was low, "Don't let go."
She looked very nervous, her eyes following him the whole time, as if she was wary that he might stop at any time, and she unconsciously showed a bit of dependence.
This is rare. Pei Yu smiled softly and promised in a low voice, "Don't let go."
His smile was misunderstood by Shen Zhiyi, who was a little unhappy, "Don't laugh at me."
She didn't want to embarrass herself in front of him.
Pei Yu looked at her and raised his narrow eyes. His pupils were dimmed into amber by the bright light. "Unfair, how did I laugh at you?"
Obviously there was, Shen Zhiyi complained in her heart, but she didn't argue with him. She found that Pei Yu, the horse, seemed very docile and obedient, standing still, which made her feel much less uneasy.
Seeing that she was not so nervous anymore, Pei Yu took the fruit plate. He was not in a hurry to teach her how to walk the horse. Instead, he forked a piece of fruit and fed it to her lips.
Shen Zhiyi opened her mouth subconsciously, distracted by trying to adapt to the feeling of riding on the horse, and unknowingly ate most of it. It was only then that she realized that the fruit plate seemed to contain all her favorite fruits.
"Don't eat?"
Pei Yu seemed to enjoy feeding her. When he saw her shaking her head, he cut the remaining fruit and fed it to the horse, which was sitting quietly with its head down.
"Here are the reins. Try to control it."
Pei Yu gave her the left reins and paced beside the horse. Every time he saw Shen Zhiyi looking nervous, he would stop the horse to give her time to relax.
After practicing for an entire afternoon, Pei Yu carried her off the horse and said, "You'll learn here from now on."
It is indeed convenient to have a horse farm here, but there is no coach, so it takes up a lot of time to have him come here all the time.
"are you free?"
Pei Yu had the horse taken away, and took her hand, saying casually, "I'll teach you, I'm always free."
