Chapter 103: Seeking Help (Part )
Fang Mingxu probably saw Zheng Hong's concerns. He threw the ball in his hand into the backyard to attract Heng Heng to pick it up, and then turned to Zheng Hong and said:
"Don't be afraid, Sister Hong. Hengheng can't hurt me. He has no ill will towards me. He just wants to play with me."
Zheng Hong said embarrassedly: "That's good, if he does something wrong, just hit him hard on the back of his hand."
Fang Mingxu smiled and nodded. Before he could say anything, he was dragged away by Hengheng again. Huaixi originally didn't want to join in the fun with the two of them, but seeing that Zheng Hong was worried, she simply followed behind. Hengheng was quite obedient to her.
The backyard is large and sheltered from the rain, so it is plenty of room for playing. Fang Mingxu runs forward with a basketball and Hengheng chases after him. Huaixi crosses his arms, watching them play with boredom.
Seeing that Hengheng couldn't even touch the basketball, she said unhappily, "Are you playing with him, or is he playing with you? This isn't a game."
Fang Mingxu grinned when he heard that. He then slowed down and deliberately let Hengheng grab the ball. Hengheng was very interested in Fang Mingxu's dribbling movements. After getting the ball, he dribbled it awkwardly.
Although his hands and feet were not very flexible, he took pictures very enthusiastically. Fang Mingxu let him play by himself. He walked to Huaixi and said with a gasp, "Hengheng doesn't look very smart. He imitated the movements very well."
Huai Xi said briskly, "This is the result of my mother giving him acupuncture every day. When he first came to the clinic, he was much worse than he is now."
Fang Mingxu suddenly realized and couldn't help but admire: "Aunt Chen is really amazing. They are really lucky to have met Aunt Chen."
Huai Xi said calmly, "Hengheng's greatest blessing is to have a mother like Sister Hong. Even when his father couldn't bear it anymore and gave up on him, Sister Hong stayed with him and continued to treat him. This is better than many people."
Fang Mingxu felt that what she said made sense. He said with emotion, "Parents who love their children will plan for them in the long run. Sister Hong has done the best she can."
Seeing that Hengheng's forehead was covered with sweat, Huai Xi took out a wet tissue from her pocket, walked to Hengheng, coaxed him to wipe the sweat and hands, then gave him a lollipop and let him sit on a small stool to rest.
Fang Mingxu couldn't help but feel a little envious when he saw this. He had never seen such a gentle side of Huai Xi. She seemed indifferent but she always had kind thoughts and sympathized with the weak.
Huai Xi had no idea what Fang Mingxu was thinking about. Just as she calmed Heng Heng down, Sister Yang stood at the kitchen door and called for dinner. Huai Xi looked up and saw that there were quite a lot of dishes on the table.
There are many people eating at home, and several dishes have to be prepared for each meal. In the past, Sister Yang was the only one in charge, but now with Zheng Hong's help, she can relax a lot.
The rain outside did not stop while they were having dinner, and it seemed like it was getting heavier. The people inside were chatting and laughing but it did not have any effect. Fang Mingxu didn't know who he learned this from, but now he is very good at coaxing people. Even He Hui praised him highly.
The dinner table was lively, but Chi Zhengzheng was in a low mood. She was absent-minded when picking up food. Ruogu sat next to her, worried that something might happen to her, and asked softly: "Zhengzheng, don't you have a live broadcast tonight? Why don't you go to the studio in advance?"
Chi Zhengzheng said somewhat awkwardly: "I feel a little unwell today, so I won't broadcast it."
Ruogu was full of suspicion, "Not feeling well? Then why didn't you ask me to feel your pulse?"
Chi Zhengzheng felt like she had shot herself in the foot. She stammered, "It's nothing serious. I just ate too much cold food and my stomach hurts~"
How could Ruogu not see through such a poor excuse? Zhengzheng was still young and her parents didn't care about her, so Ruogu had to pay more attention to her. She lowered her voice and said, "Then I'll take your pulse after dinner. If you feel uncomfortable, take medicine as soon as possible." Chi Zhengzheng didn't dare to object and nodded obediently. After dinner, everyone played in the backyard, and Ruogu took Zhengzheng to the clinic in front. She sat on the rattan chair and said calmly, "Tell me, what's the matter with you being so worried?"
Chi Zhengzheng sat next to Ruogu, and she said shyly: "Sister Ruogu, Xie Bin confessed to me, he... wants me to be his girlfriend..."
So that's what happened. Ruogu thought something else happened. She smiled and said:
"Xie Bin is a decent person with some talent. If you like him, you might as well try to get in touch with him."
Chi Zhengzheng was a little confused and said, "But I have always treated him as a colleague and never thought about it in other ways. When he confessed to me, I couldn't react. I really don't know what to do."
In Ruogu's opinion, this matter is not worth mentioning at all. She chuckled and said:
"If you don't know what to do, then throw the problem to Xie Bin to solve. If he truly loves you, he will be able to impress you one day. If he is just in the heat of the moment, he will slowly lose interest in you over time. You don't have to worry about giving an answer, just do what you want and do whatever makes you happy."
Ruogu's words sobered Chi Zhengzheng up immediately. That's right, isn't it? She had nothing to worry about. She stood up and said anxiously, "Sister Ruogu, I'd better go over and do the live broadcast. I can't let a man delay my earning speed."
Ruogu shook his head and laughed. This girl was so impulsive. "Okay, it's raining hard and it's hard to ride a bike. You drive my car."
Chi Zhengzheng was not shy with her. She smiled freely and waved her hands as she walked, saying, "Thank you, sister. I'll drive away now..."
Ruogu was a little dazed as he watched her leaving. It was good to be young and free. It seemed like she had never really made a choice for herself.
Ruogu's emotions came out of nowhere, and before she could continue to indulge herself, Mayor Fang came to her door.
He was wearing casual clothes, not looking as serious as he was at work. When he saw Ruogu, he said politely, "Doctor Chen, I'm so sorry. Our Mingxu is here to bother you again."
Ruogu smiled, and she said in a gentle voice: "Mingxu and Huaixi are classmates. It's normal for him to come home for dinner occasionally. He is sensible and polite, so how could he be annoying?"
Fang Jianping heard that Ruogu really didn't mind, so he was relieved. It was getting late, and he didn't want to beat around the bush, so he said bluntly: "Doctor Chen, I'm disturbing you so late because I want to ask you for help with two things."
Ruogu said calmly, "Mayor Fang, please tell me. I will do my best to help you."
Fang Jianping was very grateful. He said seriously, "The first thing I want to do is ask you to treat my father-in-law. He has myotonic Parkinson's disease and his limbs have different degrees of spasms. I want you to relieve his pain."
Ruogu pondered for a moment and said sincerely: "I can treat the patient, but I can't guarantee whether it can meet the family's expectations."
Fang Jianping felt more relieved after hearing her honest words. He understood:
"It's natural. We all know my father-in-law's condition. We just want to improve his quality of life by continuing treatment. We don't have too many extravagant expectations."
