Chapter 220 The Unjust Sister 35
Yuanchun's wedding banquet was held at the Peace Hotel. The Wang family invited more than 500 relatives and friends, most of whom were guests in military uniforms. Many leaders also came. Yuanchun was led by Wang Ziteng to each table to toast and greet them, and her face was frozen with smiles.
She finally made it to the night, but the wedding night she had been looking forward to was gone. She now had to take care of a drunkard and sang lullabies for half the night before she finally coaxed him to sleep.
In the early morning of the next day, Yuanchun woke up from thirst with a sore throat.
She rubbed her brows, opened her eyes, and met a pair of eyes full of deep regret and apology, "Wife, you're awake, do you have a headache?"
Wang Ziteng rubbed her temples attentively, "Wife, I was drunk by those soldiers last night. Is it hard for you to take care of me?"
"It's not that hard, but I sang lullabies for half the night and my throat still hurts." Yuanchun pointed to the thermos bottle and said, "Pour me a glass of water so I can moisten my throat."
"Okay, wife."
Wang Ziteng hurried downstairs to pour some water.
After Yuanchun drank the water, Wang Ziteng hugged her and said gently, "Wife, it's still early. Let's do what we should have done last night."
"It's getting late. It's almost dawn."
"It's okay to get up early. Today is our first day of marriage and no one will disturb us."
Wang Ziteng turned over and pressed his new wife under him. They stayed like that until noon. After eating some snacks and drinking hot water, the couple fell asleep in each other's arms.
When Yuanchun woke up again, it was already evening.
The seat next to her was empty.
She got up from the bed, walked out of the room, went to the yard to wash up, then she saw a tall figure busy in the kitchen.
"Wife, you're up."
Hearing the noise, Wang Ziteng walked out of the kitchen and said with a smile, "Wife, wash up first, the food will be ready soon." "It smells so good, did you make chicken soup?"
"Well, mom brought an old hen this afternoon." Wang Ziteng took out a mouthwash cup, filled it with water, and handed it to her. "When mom came, you were sleeping soundly, and I didn't have the heart to wake you up."
Yuanchun glared at him and said angrily, "On the second day of my wedding, I slept until the afternoon and my mother-in-law found out. I am so embarrassed."
"It's okay. I told mom that I was drunk all night and you were so tired taking care of me. Mom won't think too much of it."
"Why do I feel that your explanation is a cover-up."
"Hahaha...my wife is smart. My mom said so too, hahaha..."
Yuanchun was so angry that she raised her fist and punched him a few times.
Yuanchun also tasted a few small pieces of ginseng in the old hen soup. Wang Ziteng said, "My mother brought it here. She said she wanted to give you a good nourishment. My two sisters-in-law also had ginseng chicken soup when they first came home."
Before the two brothers Wang Ziteng got married, Wang Qian transferred the three two-courtyard houses he had bought with the money he earned over the years to the names of his three sons. They were fully furnished with furniture and pots and pans, so after they got married, they moved in directly with their bags.
Wang Ziteng also owns a house with a courtyard, which was a gift from his grandmother Wang for his 18th birthday. The three eldest grandsons of the Wang family all have it.
Yuanchun once asked Wang Ziteng in surprise, "Your father has bought so many houses, so he must be rich. Then why did he rent my father's house to open a restaurant?"
Wang Ziteng explained, "These three houses were earned by my father from running a restaurant. He had no money before."
"Later, after making a lot of money, my dad was too lazy to move, so he just kept renting your house. In fact, he was worried that after you moved out, you would not have the 30 yuan for living expenses, and the other party would treat you badly."
